Green Peach Aphid

Myzus persicae

Description

Adults are light to dark green (in some cases pink) and have red eyes. They may have wings. Also, adults have three lines down their back. Eggs are black and shiny. Nymphs are wingless and resemble adults.

Damage

Aphids cause damage to hosts by sucking sap and contaminating the host (spinach, potato, and peaches) with honeydew and cast skins. They are also a vector for viruses.
