Description

This weevil is dark brown and is covered with fine tan or white hairs. It has a dark band across the middle of the back and the insect may appear to be shiny or spotted.

Damage

This pest is commonly found on all pome fruits and can cause serious damage. Their first appearance coinsides with blooming. Both larvae and adults feed on blossoms, leaves and fruit.
